Country? A country player beats out Eddie?! Absolutely....country guitar is one of the hardest styles of guitar to play. In the words of John 5 (Marlyn Manson, Rob Zombie band) " It is like trying to learn a new language, and the language is Chinese". Even the simplest sounding riffs take hours and hours of practice, fusing bass lines, and lead runs all on one guitar, and all at the same time, (using all picking fingers to play, instead of just a pick). It is usually played clean, so any mistakes are VERY noticeable...Brad is not THE King, but he is one of them, and certainly demands the attention of anyone who appreciates the instrument.....check out nervous breakdown.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y-Ipi1dnng
As an aside...Brad doesn't have alot of videos of himself shredding on the guitar- but here is a video of a kid playing his song "toad rag"..the kid is incredible, so you can only imagine how good it must sound when it is played by Brad himself.
